INSANE ASYLUM
Story
Thousands of Syrians – escaping the brutal Civil War there – are trying to enter into Europe as migrants/refugees. Hungary shut down the main train station and all hell is breaking lose. The migrants are angry. The EU wants to allocate billions to send the immigrants back home. The Syrians claim the right to enter based on “asylum” policies – but these European nations never imagined hundreds of thousands would seek asylum at once.
Context
The Civil War in Syria has killed 250,000 people by some estimates, and displaced millions more. The Syrians entering the EU really need help. But the fear of the EU is that there could be dangerous Islamic radicals entering along with the migrants. It’s just not a good situation all the way around. Read más

Elon Musk, founder of PayPal, SpaceX, Tesla, Solar City, etc. is worried robots are going to take over the world and kill us. And yes, they actually did base Tony Stark on Musk in Iron Man. Anyway, here’s the scary thought Musk has about machines and artificial intelligence: what if killer robots are programmed (or teach themselves) to kill off people who are, say, not happy. Imagine little drones with guns, and the drones use facial recognition software to decide what facial expressions mean someone is sad. Sad people would be exterminated, and since no one is really happy 100% of the time (it would see right past your fake smile), everyone would be slaughtered. Musk has given money to various research groups to “keep AI friendly.” Click here to find out another reason he might be a little bit nervous about robots.
Chick v. Chick in 2016
It is possible that Carly Fiorina could end up being the Republican nominee for President of the United States. She has really impressed GOP voters, and in the next GOP debate she will be on the main stage with the one and only Donald Trump (among others). She’s known for being sharp and quick-witted – she should be able to battle with the Donald. More yet, if she wins the nominee it is likely she would face off against another woman: Hillary Clinton. (That is, unless Mrs. Clinton is kicked out the Presidential race (or imprisoned) for being sloppy with Top Secret emails). Fiorina is the ex-CEO of Hewlett-Packard. Read Más
The Pope has asked the priesthood to forgive women who have had abortions. This is yet another move by Pope Francis to make the Church more inclusive – something he has done repeatedly since taking command of the Holy See. (For instance, he has been welcoming to the gay community, said dogs have souls, and even declared atheists go to heaven!) Concerning abortion, he said the women who had them, bore “the scar of this agonizing and painful deacons” and felt sorrow and sympathy for them, and so should the Church. Read más
